The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the release of 22 players on Saturday. These cuts come in time before the team is required to reach the 53-man roster limit deadline today by 4:00 PM EST on Saturday, Sept. 5. The current Eagles roster now stands at 52 players, so the team clearly plans to make another addition.
