The Philadelphia Eagles have officially trimmed their roster down prior to the 4:00 PM EST on Saturday, Sept. 5.

Cuts, trade rumors, and updates

The Eagles roster currently stands at around 52, which is one shy of the final limit. In case you were wondering, the waiver period for the weekend ends at noon on Sunday, Sept. 6.



[1:20 PM EST] - Eagles are reportedly interested in former Vikings and Raiders quarterback Christian Ponder.

[1:05 PM EST] - Eagles release veteran WR Jeff Maehl with an injury settlement.

[1:00 PM EST] - The Eagles are looking for a new third string QB. Some potential options could include Josh Johnson, Matt Flynn, and a few others.

[12:50 PM EST] - Not a surprise, but sounds like Kenjon Barner is in as the Eagles fourth RB.

[12:30 PM EST] - Chip Kelly will address the media at 1:30 PM EST.
