The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade veteran inside linebacker Najee Goode, according to a report from Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

This doesn't come as a surprise. The Eagles are already loaded at inside linebacker with the main trio of Mychal Kendricks, Kiko Alonso, and DeMeco Ryans. Rookie third round pick Jordan Hicks has also looked good this summer and figures to contribute on special teams. Veteran Brad Jones is likely to make the Eagles roster over Goode due to Jones' ability to play both inside and outside.
Goode has played well in Philadelphia's last two preseason games after looking a little rusty early on this summer. Goode would give a team good (no pun intended) linebacker depth. The Eagles wouldn't likely get much, if anything, in a trade for him, but it makes sense that they're at least trying to shop him around.
If the Eagles have to end up waiving Goode, it wouldn't be surprising to see another team claim him.
