Several key injured Philadelphia Eagles players returned to the team's training session on Tuesday afternoon. Keep in mind Tuesday is typically a light practice. Here's a full update on the team's injury situation.
DeMarco Murray
Murray sat out of Philadelphia's Week 3 game after suffering a hamstring tweak last week. Murray returned to practice on Tuesday.
Mychal Kendricks
Kendricks returned to practice on Tuesday after missing the Jets game due to a hamstring injury. Defensive coordinator Bill Davis said the Eagles are hopeful Kendricks can play this week.
Cedric Thornton
Starting defensive end Thornton and his broken finger returned to practice.
Taylor Hart
Hart missed the Eagles' Week 3 game due to a shoulder injury but returned to practice. Davis said he's unsure if Hart and/or Thornton will play this week.
Josh Huff
Huff was a late addition to Philadelphia's injury report due to a hamstring issue. He was ruled out prior to the Eagles-Jets game. Huff returned to practice on Tuesday.
Kiko Alonso
Alonso is getting a second opinion on his knee sprain. Davis said Alonso's status is still up in the air and a decision hasn't been made.
Chris Maragos
The Eagles' nickel safety and special teams ace left Sunday's game early with a knee contusion. Davis said he expects Maragos to play this week, but the defensive back did not practice on Tuesday.
Riley Cooper
Cooper also left the Eagles' Week 3 game early but he also came back in. Cooper did not practice on Tuesday and was seen wearing a sleeve on his left leg.
Cody Parkey
The Eagles placed Parkey on injured reserve. After Tuesday's practice, Parkey told the media he tore three muscles in his groin and played through the pain against New York. Tough. Parkey won't need surgery. The Eagles officially signed Caleb Sturgis to replace Parkey. Sturgis is sporting Alex Henery's old No. 6 jersey.
Andrew Gardner
Gardner was placed on injured reserve after suffering a Lisfranc injury. Gardner is reportedly still going for a second opinion on his injury. With Gardner out, Matt Tobin took first team reps at right guard during practice.
