Zach Ertz active for Eagles vs. Falcons game

Here's who is in and who is out for the Eagles.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles announced their game-day inactive list in advance of their 2015 NFL Week 1 match against the Atlanta Falcons.

Zach Ertz is ACTIVE and is expected to play. This is somewhat of a surprise. Ertz was ruled questionable heading into Monday's night game after being limited in practice all week. Ertz has been recovering from a groin surgery he had back in early August. It remains to be seen how many snaps Ertz will play considering he might not be 100%. Expect the Eagles to get Trey Burton involved if Ertz isn't playing his full snap count.

Marcus Smith is INACTIVE after being limited in practice all week. Smith has been recovering from a hamstring injury suffered in mid-August. Smith expects to be healthy for Week 2. In the meantime, Vinny Curry, Bryan Braman, and Brad Jones could rotate in as the third outside linebacker.

The rest of the inactives are filled with depth players. It's interesting to see that Taylor Hart will be active for the first time in his career while Brandon Bair is inactive. Bair was always ahead of Hart last year. Now the second-year defensive end has surpassed the veteran.

Philadelphia Eagles Inactives List:

Marcus Smith - Injury.

Stephen Morris - Depth QB.

Denzel Rice - Depth CB.

Kenjon Barner - Depth RB.

Brandon Bair - Depth DE.

Dennis Kelly - Depth OL.

Josh Andrews - Depth OL.

Atlanta Falcons Inactives List:

WR/KR Devin Hester

LB Brooks Reed

WR Justin Hardy

CB Dezmen Southward

LB Joplo Bartu

C Gino Gradkowski

OT Bryce Harris
