The Miami Dolphins have signed Phialdelphia Eagles practice squad running back Raheem Mostert to their active 53-man roster, according to a tweet from Mostert's agent.
The Miami Dolphins are signing Raheem Mostert (RB/KR, Purdue) to their 53-man roster off the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad today.

The Purdue alumnus finished the preseason as the NFL's leader in yards from scrimmage and total yards. Mostert carried the ball 39 times for a total of 157 yards (4.0 average). He also recorded 14 receptions for 194 yards (13.9 average). Mostert returned five kickoffs for a total of 162 yards (32.4), with a long of 67 yards. The Eagles opted to keep former Oregon Ducks running back Kenjon Barner as the fourth running back on the 53-man roster over Mostert.
It's a shame for the Eagles that they weren't able to keep Mostert around, but this is obviously a good opportunity for the undrafted rookie free agent.
It's worth noting the Eagles play the Dolphins in Week 10 this season. Miami offensive coordinator Bill Lazor was Philadelphia's quarterback coach during the 2013 season.
With Mostert gone, the Eagles now have an open spot on their practice squad.
