It seems like there's been a crazy amount of people predicting that the Eagles will go to the Super Bowl this season. That's probably because there's been a crazy amount of people predicting that the Eagles will go to the Super Bowl this season. Adam Schefter and Joe Banner are just two big names in the NFL community who have picked the Eagles as their favorites. Now a certain former Eagles fan-favorite player is going on the record that the Birds will win it this year ... and it's Brian Dawkins.
Here's what the safety had to say in an appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic last week (as transcribed by The 700 Level):
"Because of all of the question marks, a lot of people probably won't have the Eagles as one of the favorites [to win the Super Bowl]. I do."
"I think they have the talent, I think they have the coaching now, especially in the secondary. The technique of the DBs is off the chain. It's so much more better than it was. I know that's not really a word, but they're so much more better than it was. That's what a secondary is supposed to look like when a secondary coach is teaching you techniques."
"I do see this team as an elite team, I really do."
"I think that this year will be the year. I predict it will be the Patriots and the Eagles in the Super Bowl and the Eagles will win."
Well there you have it. No way the Eagles can lose now, right? And speaking of Dawkins, there's no better time than right now to watch this Eagles hype video narrated by him:

Along with Banner, Schefter, and Dawkins, five other ESPN employees have picked the Eagles to hoist the Lombardi Trophy this year.
Heck, college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit even brought it up while he was calling the Oregon vs. Michigan State game. You can't escape the hype.
Kirk Herbstreit has the Eagles in the Super Bowl and Sam Bradford as the comeback player of the year.
