Eagles vs. Falcons Injury Report: Zach Ertz, Marcus Smith ruled questionable to play

A final update on the Eagles Week 1 injury situation.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their final official injury report in preparation of their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.

After being limited in practice all week, both tight end Zach Ertz and outside linebacker Marcus Smith are questionable to play. Throughout the week, Ertz has said he expects to be a game-time decision. Smith said he was being eased back into practice this week so he might sit out as well.

If Ertz can't play, expect second-year tight end Trey Burton to be more involved in Philadelphia's offense. Veteran starter Brent Celek might also get a few more targets than usual.

If Smith can't play, expect Vinny Curry, Brad Jones, and/or Bryan Braman to fill in as the third outside linebacker behind starters Brandon Graham and Connor Barwin.
