Tim Tebow has very good chance to make Eagles roster, per report

You shouldn't be surprised.

One of the biggest things to watch in this week's Eagles vs. Jets game is the battle of Philadelphia's third string quarterbacks: Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow. According to one report, however, the battle may already be won. Here's the latest from NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport:

Rapoport also noted that the Eagles have "tried to trade [Barkley] a lot."

The fact that Tebow has a realistic chance to make this team shouldn't be a surprise by now. The team has clearly been ready to move on from Barkley for a long time.

It's true that Tebow hasn't done much to impress in the preseason, but that doesn't seem to matter here. This isn't the first time it's been reported that Tebow has a good chance of making Philadelphia's final roster.

Now, Tebow might not ever play. The Eagles have typically only kept two quarterbacks on game day. Chip Kelly did experiment with Tebow on two two-point conversions against the Packers, but both attempts failed. Still, Kelly might be interested in having the option available to him.

Once again, it looks like Tebow is here to stay.
