Here's a quick update on the Philadelphia Eagles injury situation as the team prepares to play the New York Jets on Thursday evening.
Kiko Alonso
The Eagles linebacker was expected to make his debut against the Green Bay Packers, but Alonso missed the game due to a nagging leg injury. Alonso is dealing with tendinitis but has been practicing. After practice on Tuesday, Alonso told reporters he's actually going to suit up against the Jets in order to shake off some rust before the regular season starts. Keep in mind Alonso hasn't played in a real game since 2013.
BGN Radio host John Barchard says there's no reason to worry about Alonso.
Per source: Everything with Kiko has been precautionary, no one is worried about his long term health. He will be starting Week 1

Josh Huff
Huff has been healthy but he sat out of the Eagles-Packers game due to the tragic death of his god brother. Huff has been working with the starters this summer but he's been fairly quiet in the preseason. Huff told reporters he expects to play against the Jets. He also tweeted about it.
Can't wait to get back out on the field Thursday and get into the swing of things. In loving memory, Rell and AntAWayne

Cody Parkey
Eagles kicker Cody Parkey told reporters there is "no question" he'll be ready for Week 1. He's unsure of his status for Thursday, however. If Parkey can't go, expect backup punter Kip Smith to handle kicks in the meantime.
Marcus Smith
The second-year Eagles outside linebacker still hasn't returned to practice.
Zach Ertz
Still hasn't returned to practice.
Riley Cooper
Cooper returned to practice after sitting out on Monday.
