A total of three Philadelphia Eagles players were from missing from the team's Thursday practice: linebacker Kiko Alonso, running back DeMarco Murray, and safety Jerome Couplin.
The most notable injury is the one to Alonso. According to Eagles tight end Zach Ertz, Alonso suffered a concussion during the team's Tuesday practice at Lincoln Financial Field. It's unclear exactly when the injury occurred because Alonso didn't leave practice early. Alonso now won't be able to return to practice until he passes through the NFL's mandatory concussion protocol. In the meantime, DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks will likely take the bulk of first team reps at inside linebacker.
For the second time in four training sessions, Murray did not practice in team drills. Unlike Sunday when he did individual drills, however, Murray was not on the practice field at all. He is reportedly feeling sick. Ryan Mathews took most of the first team reps at running back with him out. One would expect Murray should return to practice soon.
It's unclear what caused Couplin to miss practice. He was out on the field wearing a jersey but he didn't have any pads on.
