Eagles 53-man roster projection, version 1.0 - PhillyVoice
Carroll and Rowe will be the best battle to watch as training camp progresses. Rowe will be given every opportunity to win the starting job opposite Byron Maxwell, and I like what I've seen of him so far. However, the coaching staff has gone way out of their way to praise Carroll. Otherwise, as noted here previously, the team is very high on rookie JaCorey Shepherd, who is the front-runner to take on Brandon Boykin's spot as the slot corner. One guy who has impressed so far has been UDFA Denzel Rice. He's my current dark horse to win a spot on the roster.

Chiefs look to Jeremy Maclin to lead new field-stretching WR corps -
"It was fine and I have nothing bad to say about Chip," Maclin said. "Everybody knows Chip likes to do things a certain way, which is fine. He’s in control. My relationship with him is fine. As a matter of fact, Chip texted me a couple days ago, so we’re fine. I don’t get into all that. Now, Boykin’s relationship with Chip is different than mine. It’s not my place to say anything about that. My relationship with him was fine, and he texted me the other days, saying ‘Good luck, you’re a beast.’ I texted him back saying, ‘Good luck, Coach. Hope you all do well.’"

Perception of Eagles' Chip Kelly not the reality - Daily News
I don't see what Boykin sees either. I like Boykin. He's a smart, thoughtful guy. But the 5-10, 185 cornerback spent the last year and change with the Eagles frustrated over the fact that Kelly and defensive coordinator Bill Davis wouldn't give him an opportunity to compete for a starting corner job because of his size. That clearly colored his perception of his head coach. Kelly has said several times that he has an open-door policy, and he does. But that doesn't mean he wants players stopping by his office to show him pictures of the kids.

The Pads Go On - Iggles Blitz
The Eagles are a running team. The TE must be a consistently effective blocker. Ertz has been inconsistent in his first 2 years, nowhere close to Brent Celek. Ertz did MMA training this spring so he is in great shape and should be more physical. He doesn’t have to be as good as Celek as a blocker, but Ertz must be better than he was the past 2 years.

Raheem Mostert making push at running back for Eagles? - The 700 Level
Between DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles, the Philadelphia Eagles already have hands down the best fleet of running backs in the NFL. However, there could be a fourth name in the mix, and surprisingly enough, it may be Raheem Mostert. The Eagles don’t necessarily need to carry four backs on the 53-man roster. They didn’t at all last season, although did for a stretch in 2013. Regardless of precedence, Chip Kelly has indicated four could make it, and recently the head coach made overtures about Mostert as a viable possibility.

State Of The Eagles Early In Camp -
John Moffitt update: It's hard to tell where he is in terms of his on-field play so early, but Moffitt understands the blocking concepts and he's in great shape physically. He was impressive talking about his sobriety and his renewed love of the game of football. Matt Tobin is taking the reps as the first-team right guard, but it's a position that is open and not likely to be decided on until at least midway through the preseason schedule?

Canzano: Chip Kelly racist? Nope. Eagles coach just wants to win. - Oregon Live
Chip Kelly is quirky. He's demanding. Like a lot of football coaches, he's a control freak. He's unconventional, intelligent, wicked funny and can be difficult when he wants to be. But what he's absolutely not is a racist.

5 off day observations from Eagles training camp - CSN Philly
At some point, and maybe soon, Nelson Agholor needs to get some first-team reps. He’s very impressive. He might already be the Eagles' best outside wideout. Riley Cooper and Josh Huff get almost all of the first-team outside reps, but the argument can be made that Agholor is already better. If Chip Kelly can jog out an offense that features Agholor, Jordan Matthews (in the slot) and Ertz, that’s some pretty good weaponry right there. I think Agholor can be a phenomenal bubble screen weapon.

Chip Kelly’s Bad Rap | The MMQB with Peter King
The coach’s roster overhaul in Philly has been abrupt, but it’s not—as two ex-Eagles have implied—motivated by racism.
