This is probably one of the most ridiculous headlines I've ever written, but here we are. It's true, a person in Philadelphia wearing (what appears to be) a Randall Cunningham Eagles retro jersey beheaded hitchBOT, the hitchhiking robot. I guess this is probably the modern day "Eagles fans booed and threw snowballs at Santa Claus" dumb thing that people will talk about. Fun.
Here's blurry video of the VICIOUS assault on technology. Be warned: graphic content.

Now, not everyone is buying the death of hitchBOT. Some think it could be a hoax. Or maybe it was a setup. Maybe someone just wanted Philly to take the blame for this because people would jump on it like this:
OF COURSE it was an Eagles fan who murdered HitchBOT (via @DKinchenFOX29) http://t.co/9QyiR4kaaq pic.twitter.com/3O18PgO2ZE

We may never know for sure.
"We're from Philadelphia and we fight ... robots." - Not an actual Chip Kelly quote
