Eagles practice notes, August 2, 2015: Sam Bradford rusty - PhillyVoice
Josh Huff looks spry. He had a nice leaping catch, and then turned it upfield. A year ago, Huff came close to a number of circus catches, but never actually brought any in.

Sanchez: ‘Stop Asking the Players About It’ - Birds 24/7
"[During stretching today], guys were like, 'Sanchez, ain't you Mexican? And [Sam] Bradford aren't you Native American?'" Sanchez said. "And Kiko [Alonso] is Colombian. We've got black guys, white guys, Polynesian guys. Come on, that's crazy, it's not even worth talking about. Stop asking the players about it, it's getting old."
Rookie Shepherd lines up with first team at nickel - Inquirer
When JaCorey Shepherd heard that Brandon Boykin was traded to the Steelers on Saturday night, the rookie cornerback texted the player who was going to teach him the nickel position during training camp. Shepherd told Boykin that everything happens for a reason, and that the trade would give Boykin the opportunity to play outside corner and Shepherd a chance at playing time as a rookie. He also told the fourth-year pro that if he ever has a question that an Eagles teammate can't answer for him, that he's going to reach out.
Chip Opens TC with a PC - Iggles Blitz
Chip stressed that a big reason for this is the Eagles sudden depth at CB. Byron Maxwell will be one starter. Nolan Carroll and Eric Rowe will compete for the other. For now, JaCorey Shepherd, E.J. Biggers and Jaylen Watkins will be the three guys battling for the nickel spot. Chip went out of his way to praise Carroll. These don’t just feel like typical offseason fluff comments to me. It sounds like Chip and the staff are very high on Carroll right now. The team is also very happy with Shepherd and Rowe.

Malcolm Jenkins: It's not about race with Chip Kelly - CSN Philly
"I know for a fact that Chip likes uniformity. And it’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s not about personalities or race or whatever. It’s just about being about the team. "So sometimes that means you can’t have as much swagger as you want to as far as the way you dress, but it’s also the mentality that no player is bigger than anyone else and no player is bigger than the team, and I can buy into that."
One of Chip Kelly's biggest problems with Eagles: culture shock - Yahoo!
In professional football, all of this makes a difference. It causes guys to form specific opinions about their coaches. It's a world built on daily acceptance or rejection, from practice to practice, season to season, contract signing to roster cuts or trades. But guys don't want to talk about those opinions publicly, and that's why this stuff continues to be an unwelcome distraction. Whether it's LeSean McCoy, Tra Thomas or Boykin – who all entered the NFL under Reid and have made negative comments about Kelly – players on the current roster shouldn't be asked to endorse or dispel another grown man's opinion. Yet they have been. And that is both exhausting and unfair.
