Eagles vs. Packers preseason 2015: Game time, TV schedule, online streaming, channel and more

Learn more about the Eagles-Packers preseason matchup that is set to take place Saturday evening in Green Bay.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles 2015 NFL preseason schedule continues this weekend. The Eagles are scheduled to play the Green Bay Packers at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night in NFL Preseason Week 3 action. This is likely the last game most of Philadelphia's starters will play prior to the beginning of the 2015 NFL regular season. Teams usually only play their backups in the fourth preseason game.

While the Eagles are set to play their starters in Green Bay, it seems like the Packers are going to play it safe and hold theirs out. This is a shame for the Eagles because Aaron Rodgers would have been a great test for Philadelphia's new-look defense. Rodgers completely carved up the Eagles' secondary when these two teams met in the regular season last year.

With Rodgers likely sitting and top backup Scott Tolzien dealing with a concussion, the Eagles will see plenty of rookie quarterback Brett Hundley. Philadelphia's looked great in the preseason so it's possible they will feast on the Packers' backups.

Sam Bradford will start for the Eagles at quarterback for the second straight week. It's unclear how many snaps he will play, but one would expect him to get at least a few series of game action before calling it a night. This is Bradford's last chance before the regular season starts to shake off the rust. Bradford needs to be sharper this week than he was against the Ravens last week.

On defense, the big story is about how Kiko Alonso is (likely) making his Eagles debut. Alonso missed the first two preseason games while recovering from a concussion. Returning Eagles linebackers Mychal Kendricks and DeMeco Ryans are also expected to play for the first time this summer.

This third preseason matchup is the final game before NFL rosters are required to cut 90-man rosters down to the 75 limit on Sept. 1. The deadline to cut down to 53 takes place on Sept. 5, which is two days after the Eagles' final preseason game on Sept. 3.

Here's everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
