The Philadelphia Eagles practiced again on Wednesday afternoon. Here are some updates on the team's injury situation as they prepare to take on the Green Bay Packers in a preseason game this Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Players who did not practice: Zach Ertz (groin), Marcus Smith (hamstring), DeMeco Ryans (Achilles), Bryan Braman (shoulder), Jerome Couplin (?), and Josh Huff (personal reasons).
Ertz and Smith are still out, as expected.
Ryans was seen wearing pads but he warmed up with the team's group of injured players.
Braman missed practice due to a shoulder injury. After practice, Braman said he still expects to play this week. The Eagles are thin at outside linebacker so they really can't afford another injury there.
Couplin missed practice but said he expects to return on Thursday. Couplin missed a few weeks and the first preseason game while recovering from an appendectomy so he can't afford to miss much more time.
Huff missed practice for the second day due to personal reasons.
Fletcher Cox returned to practice after resting on Tuesday.
