Eagles Training Camp Practice Notes: Just another day where Sam Bradford looked great

Here's what we learned from today's Eagles practice.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles returned to training camp practice on Tuesday after having an off day on Monday following Sunday's first preseason game. There's a lot to talk about, so let's not waste any time.

• No pads on today. It was a relatively short practice, but it was still active. It wasn't like a walk-through or anything. The Eagles probably went light to gear up for the physicality when the Baltimore Ravens to come to town for joint practices starting tomorrow.

• Quick injury update: The big thing was that Kiko Alonso returned. DeMarco Murray, Mychal Kendricks, and Jerome Couplin were also back. DeMeco Ryans was out but will return tomorrow. Zach Ertz is out for the rest of the preseason. It's unclear if/when Earl Wolff will return.

• The Eagles practiced on the field far away from where the media can perfectly see what's going on so these notes are a little light today.

• A thought I had as the Eagles warmed up for practice:

• DeMarco Murray was working with the running backs during position drills. He then went on to be a full participant in practice. He was limited last week, so this seems like a good sign.

• There was some talk last week about how Sam Bradford hasn't really run around in practice a lot. That wasn't the case on Tuesday. Bradford rolled out to his right on one red zone play to hit Josh Huff in the end zone for a touchdown. No one's going to mistake Bradford for Michael Vick any time soon but he didn't look hampered as he ran. Later in practice, Bradford ran to his left and fired a pass into tight coverage that was knocked down by a defensive back. It's to be expected that the right-handed Bradford would have a more difficult time throwing while on the move to his left.

• Overall, Bradford looked really sharp once again. He didn't make a ton of flashy throws but he was repetitively accurate. He consistently made good decisions and imposed his will on the defense. Bradford hit Huff and Miles Austin for touchdowns during the red zone within a few plays of each other.

Mark Sanchez sure didn't look good against the Colts, but he rebounded with a solid practice. Didn't notice any major errors from him.

• Speaking of errors, Matt Barkley was picked off by Bryan Braman on a pass over the middle. The quarterback threw a little behind Eric Tomlinson, who couldn't hang on. On a side note, Tomlinson dealt with a few drops in practice today. Back to Barkley. According to Eliot Shorr-Parks, for what it's worth, Barkley has thrown more interceptions (four) than any of the Eagles other three quarterbacks combined in practice this summer.

Andrew Gardner took first team reps at right guard. Again. It's hard not to think the guy is the favorite for the job at this point.

• Quron Pratt's impressive leaping catch along the sideline ended practice. It was Barkley who threw the ball.

• Since practice was light, here are some notes on post-practice stuff.

Connor Barwin and Marcus Smith spend time together working on their pass rush moves after practice.

• Bradford, Duce Staley, and Darren Sproles spent a lot of time talking after practice. Probably because Bradford is moving to running back while Sproles wants to switch to quarterback, right? (No.)

• Here's Bradford signing some autographs for the fans.
