Philadelphia Eagles football is finally back! Well, sort of. It's not real football since it's only the preseason, but it's still better than nothing at all. The Eagles are scheduled to play the Indianapolis Colts at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday to wrap up NFL Preseason Week 1. This is the first time the Birds will suit up at Lincoln Financial Field after a crazy offseason full of big changes.
Speaking of big changes, a number of the Eagles' new additions will likely not be playing on Sunday. Quarterback Sam Bradford has already been ruled out. Linebacker Kiko Alonso has been dealing with a concussion and won't play. DeMarco Murray has been limited in practice and might sit out. Some returning players are banged up as well. Inside linebackers Mychal Kendricks and DeMeco Ryans have sat out the last couple days of practice. Eagles tight end Zach Ertz is expected to miss the entire preseason after having surgery on a core muscle injury.
Philadelphia's starters will likely only play a series or two, so about eight to 10 snaps. Mark Sanchez will start at quarterback before Matt Barkley and Tim Tebow (!) finish out the game. The Eagles will get a chance to evaluate the depth players on their roster in a game like this. Meanwhile, rookies like Nelson Agholor and Eric Rowe will be making their NFL debuts.
Here's everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
