Eagles' Connor Barwin surprises fans by showing up to their house to install solar panels

Good guy Connor Barwin strikes again.

As if Philadelphia fans needed another reason to love Eagles outside linebacker Connor Barwin, well, here you go. As you can see in the video above, Barwin recently surprised some fans by showing up to their house to install NRG solar panels on their roof.

"I'm very happy to be here, man. I think it's cool that this family, this working family, is having this installation done. I'm very happy to be a part of it and I'm excited for them, that they're having this done this morning."

"I think [solar energy] is great for the environment. With NRG right now, it makes total sense for somebody living in this neighborhood with this kind of roof space. It's a win-win situation. They're going to save money, it's good for the environment, and it's sending the right message to children about the future and about taking care of where they live."

It's no secret that Barwin is one of the most environmental friendly players on the team. He takes SEPTA to work, bikes around the city, and even drives a Tesla electric car.

Barwin is obviously a great player on the field, but it's always cool to see how much he gives back off of it. Last month his second annual benefit concert raised a total of $300,000 towards rebuilding a South Philly park.

...

While we're on the subject of NRG, I figured I'd mention BGN might be working with them again this year to give away free tickets for some home games (among other prizes). Nothing official yet, but stay tuned for more information on that. Make sure you're following me on Twitter for updates (@BrandonGowton).
