Eagles preseason game broadcasts will feature Mike Mayock

Nice.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

As noted earlier this week, there is less than a full month until Philadelphia Eagles preseason football begins on Sunday, August 16. While you're waiting for that time to finally arrive, you might be interested to know that the Eagles preseason broadcasts will feature a special guest this year.

According to Paul Domowitch of the Philadelphia Daily News, NFL Network personality and NFL draft guru Mike Mayock will be the analyst for the Eagles preseason games. All four summer exhibition contests will be aired on NBC10, which is now the Eagles' new official TV station. It used to be 6ABC. Eagles preseason broadcasts in past years have featured Brian Baldinger, also of NFL Network, as an analyst.

This move hardly comes as a surprise since Mayock is a native of Philadelphia and he often drops by Eagles practices during the summer. Mayock usually offers quality insight so this should be a good addition to the broadcast.

Eagles 2015 preseason schedule - (NBC10)

Week 1 - vs. Indianapolis Colts (Sunday, Aug. 16, 1:00 PM)

Week 2 - vs. Baltimore Ravens (Saturday, Aug. 22, 7:00 PM)

Week 3 - @ Green Bay Packers (Saturday, Aug. 29, 8:00 PM)

Week 4 - @ New York Jets (Thursday, Sept. 3, 7:00 PM)
