Philadelphia Eagles preseason schedule 2015 is one month away

So close, yet so far away.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

Philadelphia Eagles football returns in one month. Sort of. It's not "real" football in the sense that it's just preseason ... but still, that's something. Right? Right. At the least, it's definitely better than nothing.

As a reminder, here is the entire Eagles 2015 preseason schedule. All four games will be carried on the NBC10 broadcast.

Eagles 2015 preseason schedule - (NBC10)

Week 1 - vs. Indianapolis Colts (Sunday, Aug. 16, 1:00 PM)

Week 2 - vs. Baltimore Ravens (Saturday, Aug. 22, 7:00 PM)

Week 3 - @ Green Bay Packers (Saturday, Aug. 29, 8:00 PM)

Week 4 - @ New York Jets (Thursday, Sept. 3, 7:00 PM)

It seems pretty weird that the Eagles are going to open their preseason slate on a Sunday game starting at 1:00 PM. There's a good chance it's going to be hot and sunny. I can't imagine the players are going to love that.

The Ravens game will be at least a little interesting (as much as preseason football can be) considering the Eagles will be practicing with them all week prior to the matchup.

The Packers game will be Philadelphia's dress rehearsal. It'll be interesting to see how Sam Bradford looks in extended playing time, if indeed he is healthy and ready to play.

The annual Eagles-Jets preseason finale will feature backup players doing their best to earn a roster spot before final cuts are made.

Of course, even closer than the start of preseason is the start of Eagles training camp. Players report on Saturday, Aug. 1 before the first actual practice is scheduled to start on Sunday, Aug. 2.

It all starts soon. Just a couple more weeks to go.
