I'm not trying to turn BGN into a politics blog or anything, but I'd remiss not to mention No. 1 Dallas Cowboys super fan and New Jersey governor Chris Christie recently announced he's running for President of the United States.
It's no secret that Christie isn't very popular with Philadelphia Eagles fans. He once called them the worst fans in America. Literally:
"These Philadelphia fans, they are the worst in America," Mr. Christie was overheard saying recently.
He recalled a different kind of reception when he joined Mr. Jones on the field at a Cowboys game against the New York Giants, who play their home games in New Jersey. "I didn’t get booed," he said. "Giant fans waved, said hello, asked for autographs, didn’t give me a hard time."
"But these guys?" he added of Eagles fans."
...
Since catching flak for hating on Eagles fans, Christie has vowed to never say bad things about them again. Especially now that he needs votes.
