As noted earlier this week, the second annual Connor Barwin / Make The World Better benefit concert was a huge success! A grand total of $300,000 was raised to help revitalize Smith Playground in South Philadelphia. Very cool. Bleeding Green Nation was fortunate enough to have Shamus Clancy there to write about the experience.
If you weren't able to attend, however, you might enjoy the photo gallery located above with 18 pictures from the event. All images courtesy of an official Philadelphia Eagles press release.
Here's what Barwin had to say about the concert's success:
"I want to thank Union Transfer, the musicians and sponsors for another year of unwavering support," said Barwin. "Not only did we aim to put on an entertaining show for fans, but all proceeds will go towards transforming South Philly’s Smith Playground into a safe and enjoyable place for the community. I am humbled to live in a city that is filled with so many people who want to make their neighborhood, and the world, a better place to live, to grow and to learn."
