NFL Power Rankings: Eagles are way better than the Cowboys

It's science.

There are a lot of people who do not think the Philadelphia Eagles are currently better than the Dallas Cowboys.

Just take a look at these ESPN power rankings. Or these 2016 Super Bowl odds. Or these 2015 over/under win totals. Heck, Football Outsiders projections even think the Eagles will be worse than not only the Cowboys but the New York Giants as well.

But the Eagles do have at least one believer who thinks they're not only better than the Cowboys, but way better. Behold these USA Today NFL Power Rankings, where the Birds rank in the top 10:

"8) Eagles - New QB Sam Bradford's ability to master and thrive in this offense is among the five most compelling preseason subplots."

Only three NFC teams rank better than Philadelphia: the Seattle Seahawks (1), the Green Bay Packers (2), and the Carolina Panthers (7). The last of those is certainly curious.

As for the rest of the NFC East:

"18) Cowboys - Lotta risks to upgrade roster (Greg Hardy a bust already?). And Dallas may yet lose its biggest gamble: Letting DeMarco Murray walk."

"23) Giants -  Passing attack could be really special in Year 2 under OC Ben McAdoo. It may have to be if run game, defense struggle again."

"30) Washington -  Has Jay Gruden bought into Robert Griffin III? How about vice versa? Everything hinges on this tenuous relationship."

...

So there you have it. Indisputable, scientific fact that the Eagles are way better than any other team in the NFC East.
