Tim Tebow, Riley Cooper send thoughtful video message to high school student with brain tumor

Connor Barwin and Mark Sanchez weren't the only two Philadelphia Eagles players who tried to make a positive impact in the lives of other people last week. Riley Cooper and Tim Tebow did a very nice thing as well. The two former college roommates recorded a "get well soon" video message intended for high school junior Collin "Bear" Shank. Shank, who plays football and baseball for Lampeter-Strasburg, was diagnosed with a 1-inch brain tumor earlier this year. Here's the message, which was recorded at the Eagles facility:

According to Caring Bridge (via Lancaster Online), Shank underwent successful surgery at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia earlier this week. The tumor has been "eradicated" and he can return to normal activities (including sports) in a few months after some physical therapy and recovery time. Very good news!

It also appears the Eagles paid for Shank's family hotel stay in Philadelphia while he was in the hospital. Awesome gesture by the organization.
