A look ahead to the 2016 quarterback class: Connor Cook edition - PhillyVoice
If Cook had come out in 2015, I wonder if the Titans might have liked him better than Marcus Mariota. In the 2015 draft, there were a number of quarterbacks who did not play in pro-style offenses in college, and, therefore, were more difficult to project to the NFL. Cook and most of the other top QB prospects in this class will be easier projections to the NFL, having played in more traditional offensive schemes, whereas guys like Mariota and Bryce Petty were coming from spread offenses.
The Hidden Difference - Iggles Blitz
The Eagles are better at CB. At least I think so. They have more quality bodies this year at the very least. We won’t know if Safety is improved until we see if Earl Wolff can stay healthy, if Ed Reynolds has NFL talent or if Jaylen Watkins can make the transition to full-time S. Chris Prosinski and Jerome Couplin may also have a say in matters. The one spot where I think the Eagles are definitively better is DB coach, where Cory Undlin takes over for John Lovett. Undlin has a good NFL track record. He understands what it takes to be a good NFL secondary. Lovett has a strong resume at the college level, but his unit struggled in the past 2 years. Lovett wasn’t given great talent, but he certainly didn’t seem to help the situation.
Irvin: Murray Makes Eagles Team To Beat In NFC East - Birds 24/7
"Philly is the favorite in the NFC East," he said. "I have to be able to separate my head from my heart. You can't convince me that you can just stick anybody back there. And if they had drafted a Melvin Gordon or a Todd Gurley, then wait a minute, this team may be something. But right now, I see Philly and then Dallas in the NFC East."
Gov. Chris Christie, Kanye West wearing Eagles Sam Bradford jerseys? (PHOTOS) - NJ.com
Spring has sprung, summer is here, and Marcus Mariota is in Tennessee. Add that all up, and it can only mean one thing — Sam Bradford jerseys are taking the fashion world by storm. Once relegated to only online, and not even in the team's official stores, you can't go anywhere right now without seeing a beautiful No. 7 Eagles midnight green jersey. Music icons, sports stars, actors, politicians — everyone seems to be jumping on the Bradford bandwagon.
Eagles offensive line difficult to trust - The 700 Level
Some would suggest the situation is not as dire as a few are making it out to be. Others would have you believe this collection of aging or not-so-great players is potentially a dumpster fire waiting to happen. The truth probably lies somewhere in between, but the fact is this has become a difficult line to put your faith in based on health concerns alone. Sure, injuries can strike any team, but there is now a documented history of it happening to Eagles linemen.
Kiko Alonso In Right Place With Eagles - PE.com
Alonso came to Philadelphia in the headlines-busting trade announced on March 10 (which leaked to the media several days earlier) that sent running back LeSean McCoy to Buffalo for Alonso, a former Oregon linebacker who enjoyed a fantastic rookie season with the Bills before missing all of the 2014 campaign with a torn ACL. Alonso found out about the trade when, ironically, he was working out in Northern California with Eagles tight end Zach Ertz and Eagles wide receiver Jeff Maehl. Alonso's phone rang and he stepped outside. The Bills told him he was traded.
Jim Kelly backs Phila. cause that is close to his heart - Inquirer
Not long ago, a father could not cry. He had been diagnosed with cancer in his jaw in 2013, and it had returned last year, and the chemotherapy and radiation treatments had cost him his tear ducts. The fluid backed up, infecting his eyes. So in the middle of April, he underwent surgery. The doctors inserted a temporary tube that ran from his eyeballs to his palate and drained the tears away. "It's always something," Jim Kelly said recently. "But you know what? Oh, well."
The Patriots created a DeflateGate truther blog - SB Nation
The Patriots came back HARD against the Wells Report on Thursday, revealing a blog that attempts to dismantle any argument that they absolutely deflated balls on purpose before the AFC Championship.
