NFL Network has been running their annual Top 100 players in the NFL series. It was revealed on Wednesday night that Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles made the cut at No. 81.

Here's what we wrote about Sproles earlier this offseason:

"Numbers: 343 snaps, 57 attempts, 329 yards, 5.8 Y/A, 21.9 Y/G, 6 TD, 49 Long, 40 rec, 387 yards, 9.7 Y/R, 0 rec TD, 716 yards from scrimmage, 6 total TD, 4 fumbles

Review: It'll never be easy to believe that the Eagles acquired a talented weapon like Darren Sproles for the cost of a mere fifth round pick. The 31-year-old veteran was a revelation during his first season wearing midnight green. He broke personal career records in: longest run (49), receiving yards in a a game (152), and longest punt return (82). Sproles was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week twice and NFC Offensive Player of the Week once. He also earned his first career Pro Bowl berth."

There's little doubt Sproles was a great pickup by Philadelphia last offseason. The veteran turns 32 in June so it'll be interesting to see how the team uses him moving forward, especially with DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews in the mix now. Sproles might also see his punt return role decrease a little bit due to the addition of first round pick Nelson Agholor.

Sproles is just the first Eagles player to appear on the NFL Top 100 list as the countdown continues. Which Philadelphia player will be next?
