Eagles, JaCorey Shepherd agree to terms on four-year contract

John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports

According to an official release, the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to terms with the rookie cornerback JaCorey Shepherd. The Eagles drafted the former Kansas Jayhawks defensive back in the sixth round at No. 191 overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Shepherd and the Eagles agreed to terms so quickly because now that contracts are slotted, there isn't much negotiation room. The deal is a standard four-year contract.

There has been a lot of positive press on Shepherd. Some think he can end up being a steal for the Eagles.

This deals ensure that he will definitely be ready in time for Eagles training camp, which begins in the summer. The Eagles have until then to get the rest of their remaining draft picks under contract in order for them to be eligible for practice.

Five down, one to go. The only player who remains unsigned is third round pick Jordan Hicks.

Signed Rookies
