Eagles Trade Rumors: Brandon Boykin is available at the right price

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

According to Ian Rapoport, Mychal Kendricks isn't the only player the Philadelphia Eagles have made available for trade. The NFL media insider is reporting that cornerback Brandon Boykin is also available for the right price.

This news is also hardly a surprise. Like Kendricks, Boykin is scheduled to enter the last year of his rookie deal.

Boykin's played well for the Eagles during his tenure in Philadelphia. He's been limited to a nickel cornerback role, however. Head coach Chip Kelly insisted Boykin will compete for an outside position this offseason, but based on how the Eagles have handled him to this point it's hard to believe. There were ample opportunities for Boykin to replace the struggling Bradley Fletcher and/or Cary Williams last season but the coaching staff decided against using him. The team opted to start Nolan Carroll in place of Fletcher late in the Week 17 season finale.

The Eagles drafted Boykin in the fourth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. It's unclear what the team would get in return for him.
