2015 NFL Mock Draft: New England Patriots pick Marcus Peters

Sitting at #32 and a huge whole in the secondary, the defending Super Bowl Champion Patriots and Head Coach/GM Bill Belichick have a few places they can go here. With the key losses of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner at the cornerback position and a young talented CB on the board the Patriots pull the trigger. Let's be honest, the Pats didn't help themselves in the secondary with signings of free agents, Bradley "The Bum" Fletcher and Chimdi Chekwa (pronunciation excluded due to lack of factual data to support said pronunciation). With a huge hole at corner the Pats need someone who can produce. Marcus Peters out of Washington is that man.

Now I know that Peters has had his off the field issues, but he is still no doubt the best cornerback in the entire draft in terms of skill. At 6'0" and 197lbs he is the perfect size for Belichick and the Patriots. His combine times were impressive as well with a 4.53 40, a 37.5" vertical jump and the combines fastest time for the 60-yard shuffle clocking in at 11.26 sec.

We know that Eric Rowe will most likely still be on the board and there are reports that the Pats are high on him, but again Marcus Peters is an ideal fit for Belichick and his defense and if he's there, no doubt the Patriots will take him.

*Bill Belichick was not harmed by me traveling inside his head, and don't worry I'm still Eagles 'till I die.
