NFL Mock Draft 2015: Eagles pick T.J. Clemmings at No. 20

Check out our (2015 Eagles mock draft central) for more opinions on who could be the #20 pick in April.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

There are only THREE more days until the 2015 NFL Draft begins on April 30! Let's kill the remaining time with our regularly scheduled Mock Draft Monday series. Also, don't forget to check out last week's mock draft roundup.

This week's SB Nation mock is the last one before draft night. Let's see who Dan Kadar has the Eagles taking one last time:

"Landon Collins, S, Alabama - If the Eagles in fact use the No. 20 pick in the draft, what shade of red will Chip Kelly be on draft weekend. Maybe a slightly angry rose or a fully enraged crimson? Staying at 20 means Kelly won't land his star pupil Marcus Mariota. It would mean none of the 584 pre-draft rumors were all false. Even though the steam coming out of Kelly's ears could power a boat across the Atlantic Ocean, Collins would be a smart fallback choice. He could start right away as Nate Allen's replacement at safety."

In non-Collins picks, Bleacher Report's Mike Tanier has the Eagles drafting an offensive tackle:

"T.J. Clemmings, OL, Pittsburgh - So let’s assume that he traded the 20th pick for a bunch of players and picks, then traded a bunch of other players and picks to get the 20th pick back a few minutes later. The dust settles, and Kelly remembers that left tackle Jason Peters and left guard Evan Mathis are both 33 years old. The Eagles need line depth, and Clemmings is a little bit like Lane Johnson, the Eagles’ first-ever pick of the Kelly era: a converted player from another position (defensive end for Clemmings, tight end for Johnson) with lots of upside but limited technique."

The Clemmings pick definitely makes more sense to me than the Collins pick. For as much as the Eagles need a safety, I'm not sure that the team is going to force that pick early on.

(Obligatory Marcus Mariota mention: the Tennessee Titans take him at No. 2.)
