2015 NFL Mock Draft: Indianapolis Colts choose Cameron Erving

The Indianapolis Colts have gone one game further in the playoffs in each of the previous 3 years, ending with a 45-7 loss to the eventual Super bowl Champions New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game this past season. They have one of the best young QB's in the game in Andrew Luck (maybe you have heard of him). The Colts still have a few holes after an active free agency period where their notable additions were F. Gore, A. Johnson, and familiar faces Trent Cole and the Todd Father. Although they have had success they still have plenty of needs -- SS, WR, RB, DT, DE, CB, LB and OL.

The Pick

Cameron Erving, C FSU

While the Colts defense has a lot of holes, the most important need for the Colts is to protect Andrew Luck. Luck is the future in Indy and keeping him upright keeps the Colts in almost any game. Cam is the perfect pick to upgrade the Colts O-line that featured 3 different centers last year. He won the Jacobs trophy for the best blocker in the ACC the past 2 years. He was 1^st team all ACC at LT and C this year. Think about that for a second. He started at FSU in 2011 as a DT, switched and started right away LT in 2012, 2013, and the first 9 games in 2014. He spent the last 5 games in 2014 at center where he is projected to play in the NFL. He is the best center/interior lineman in the draft.
