For the second time in three years, the Philadelphia Eagles will open their season with a Monday Night Football road game. This year, the Eagles will travel to Atlanta to play the Falcons in Week 1.
You might think it's too early to make predictions, but the odd makers disagree. According to Westgate Las Vegas, the Eagles are already favored to beat the Falcons by 1.5 points.
For those who aren't familiar with gambling, the standard home point favorite is usually favored by three points. If you want to bet on the Eagles in the case, you need to be confident they can beat the Falcons by at least two points.
It's not a total surprise to see the Eagles favored given how each team fared last year. Despite missing the playoffs, the Eagles still finished 10-6. Meanwhile, the Falcons went 6-10 in the weakest division in the NFL and fired their head coach.
Are you confident enough in the Eagles at this point to wager on them?
