2015 NFL Schedule: Eagles, Lions set to play on Thanksgiving

Looks like another Turkey Day game for the Birds.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

According to a report from Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to play on Thanksgiving for the second year in a row.

Birkett reports that Lions will host the Eagles in Detroit on Thursday, November 26.

The Eagles dominated the Cowboys in last year's Thanksgiving game. They will be hoping for the same kind of effort on the road yet again this year.

Eagles fans don't need to be reminded of the last time the team played the Lions, but in case you somehow forgot, it was the Snow Bowl game back in 2013. Philadelphia beat Detroit (along with the elements) in a highly entertaining affair.

The Lions finished with an 11-5 record in 2014 before losing to the Cowboys in the first round of hte 2015 NFL playoffs. Detroit's first season under new head coach Jim Caldwell was a success due to their dominant defense. It remains to be seen how the Lions will fare after losing Ndamukong Suh in free agency.

Either way, it should make for an interesting NFC matchup.

Stay tuned for updates - more to come.
