According to retired NFL player and Atlanta radio host Brian Finneran, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to open their 2015 NFL schedule on the road against the Falcons.

Finneran notes that it's a Monday Night Football game.

The Eagles opened their first season under Chip Kelly as head coach on Monday Night Football in 2013. Philadelphia defeated Washington in that exciting opener.

The last time the Eagles and Falcons played was back in October 2012. The Falcons put a beat-down on Andy Reid in Philadelphia, winning by a final score of 30-17.

The Falcons finished with a 6-10 record in 2014. The franchise fired former head coach Mike Smith after seven years with the team and hired Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Whereas Kelly was a rookie head coach on Monday Night Football in 2013, now Quinn will be the one in those shoes.

Stay tuned for more updates.
