2015 NFL Mock Draft: Landon Collins to the Eagles is the consensus pick

Check out our (2015 Eagles mock draft central) for more opinions on who could be the #20 pick in April.

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

There are only 10 more days until the 2015 NFL Draft begins on April 30! Just a week and a half to go. With that in mind, let's kill some remaining time with our regularly scheduled Mock Draft Monday series. Also, don't forget to check out last week's mock draft roundup.

The theme of this week's SB Nation mock draft is based around consensus picks. Dan Kadar pulled together 20 drafts from around the Internet to see if he could find a common ground. Here's the result for the Eagles:

"20. Philadelphia Eagles: Landon Collins, S, Alabama - A week from now, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a cornerback overtake Collins. As it is, the Alabama safety – the draft’s best safety by a wide margin – is the choice. With Nate Allen departing in free agency, there’s a need Collins could fill.

The picks:
35 percent Landon Collins
25 percent Byron Jones
10 percent Arik Armstead
10 percent Jake Fisher
5 percent Jaelen Strong
5 percent Jalen Collins
5 percent Marcus Peters
5 percent Randy Gregory"

Collins has already been debated at length. Most will say that he doesn't fit the Eagles defense due to his coverage limitations. Other have argued that those issues are overblown. Collins or no Collins, the Eagles absolutely need to address the safety position at some point in the 2015 NFL Draft. The team doesn't currently have a proven quality option to start next to Malcolm Jenkins.

(Obligatory Marcus Mariota mention: the Tennessee Titans take him at No. 2.)
