According to a report from Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, the Eagles hosted 2015 NFL Draft prospect Darryl Roberts on a pre-draft visit in Philadelphia. Wilson adds that the Eagles also privately worked him out.
Roberts didn't attend the 2015 NFL Combine, but he caught attention with some good numbers at Marshall's pro day:
"Roberts had a 4.36 and a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash, a 39-inch vertical leap, an 11-1 broad jump, bench pressed 225 pounds 23 times with a 4.08 short shuttle and a 6.66 three-cone drill."
Roberts projects to be a Day 3 pick. The 6-0, 182 pound senior finished his college career with 186 tackles, 35 passes defensed, five interceptions, one sack, and one forced fumble.
Roberts is the seventh defensive back the Eagles have hosted in Philly for a pre-draft visit.
No scouting report available, so here is a highlights video from his senior year.
