2015 NFL regular season schedule release tentatively set for April 23

Brace yourselves.

Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports

According to a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, it appears the 2015 NFL schedule will be announced next week. Florio says the release is (tentatively) expected to take place on Thursday evening, April 23.

This date falls in line with a report from Ben Volin of The Boston Globe who said the NFL schedule is expected to be released within the next 10 days as of today, April 13. Speaking of Volin's report, it appears the Eagles might not be playing the New England Patriots in the NFL's kickoff game after all.

All of Philadelphia's 16 opponents for the 2015 season are already known. So is the 2015 preseason schedule. The only thing that isn't known are the exact times and dates.

Despite the fact that the 2015 NFL Draft hasn't taken place and September is five months away, the release of the NFL schedule is still a pretty big deal. So don't miss it. As always, we'll have complete coverage here at Bleeding Green Nation.
