A Scary Thought - Iggles Blitz
First, we have no idea if any of this is true. I don’t doubt Jaws is hearing things, but this is the time of year when teams love to spread mis-information to try and keep everyone confused as to what they are really thinking and what is going to happen. If this is true, the thought of Mariota going 1st overall is interesting, mainly because it would involve Winston sliding. And where would he go?

Fan-Demonium: Rookie Expectations - PE.com
The most interesting player in the upcoming draft is arguably quarterback Marcus Mariota. He won the Heisman Trophy and led Oregon to the national title game, putting up some amazing numbers along the way. The top teams in the draft are taking a long look at Mariota. Still, there is talk about him falling far enough that the Eagles, who have the 20th pick, would get him without moving or would only have to move up a little for him. That seems a bit odd. Mariota in some ways is the prototypical quarterback. He has good size at 6-4 and 222 pounds. He has big hands. Mariota is a gifted athlete who can make plays with his legs. He has a good arm and can make every throw. He was very durable at Oregon so there aren't any injury concerns. The closest thing to a character concern is the question of whether Mariota is too quiet. What's not to like? Shouldn't he go No. 1 overall?

There was Sean Jones and Macho Harris. Nate Allen and Kurt Coleman held down the safety positions for a couple of seasons together. Patrick Chung and Earl Wolff split time in 2013 next to Alllen, and then Malcolm Jenkins arrived in 2014 ...

Below is PFT’s list of the best unsigned veteran players at each position. Each player’s age as of September 1, 2015 is in parentheses.

Mosher's Mailbag: Will Eagles move back at the draft? - CSN Philly
This is an odd first-round crop when it comes to value and draft slot. There seem to be several elite pass rushers, most of which will be gone when the Eagles pick at 20, along with two elite quarterbacks, two elite wide receivers and some really good offensive linemen. Once you get past the top 15, the pool of talent seems to even out and the prospects seem to have as many question marks as they have proven skills.

The Dallas Cowboys Have Done It Again - The MMQB
Once ruled by emotion and impulse, the Cowboys finally appeared to be making sound decisions. Then they signed Greg Hardy, restructured Tony Romo’s contract and who knows what could happen next?

We will pay an NFL team $1,000 to select its final draft pick - SB Nation
An offer no NFL general manager could refuse.
