Today we kick off the 2015 April (aka pre-draft) edition of Philadelphia Eagles approval polls with head coach Chip Kelly.

The last time we polled Kelly's approval was in early February. The team had just got done making some coaching staff changes. While the coaching staff doesn't look too dramatically different, the Eagles underwent a significant makeover this offseason.

First, Kelly got rid of veterans such as James Casey, Todd Herremans, Trent Cole, Cary Williams, and so on. Then he boldly traded away former offensive fixtures LeSean McCoy and Nick Foles. The Eagles coach didn't want to overpay to keep Jeremy Maclin in Philadelphia but he spared no expense on big contracts for Byron Maxwell and 2014 NFL leading rusher DeMarco Murray.

Kelly shocked everyone when by acquiring Sam Bradford in a trade with the St. Louis Rams. Many thought the Eagles were going after Marcus Mariota (which is still possible) but until further notice it appears he will be the team's starter in 2015. If healthy, Bradford will be the most talented quarterback Kelly has had the chance to work with so far. The only problem that the "if healthy" thing is a big assumption.

The Eagles coach isn't done making moves yet. The 2015 NFL Draft is still on the way. Mariota could still be in play. Possibly related to a Mariota trade, certain Eagles players such as Evan Mathis, Brandon Boykin, etc. are rumored to be on the trade block.

It's hard to get a good read on where the Eagles stand right now. They're definitely different than last year, but it's unclear whether they're actually any better off. Maybe they are. Some might argue otherwise. I think the safe bet is to at least wait and see before getting too down on a head coach who has won 20 games in his first two seasons.

When it comes to Kelly the general manager, there have been some causes for concern. Some question whether he has an accurate sense of value. This theory will likely be further tested at the end of the month during this year's draft.
