Eagles News: 50% chance Marcus Mariota is drafted by Philadelphia

Philadelphia Eagles news and links for 4/10/2015.

Let's get to the links...

Who the Eagles are going to draft in the first round, by percentage - PhillyVoice
Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon (50 percent) - However, my information that Foles wasn't their guy has been replaced with the common sense notion that Bradford isn't either. Meanwhile, the other bits of evidence I've been hearing along the way still very much point to the Eagles making a strong play to get Mariota. Again, it's far from a slam dunk because there are other teams involved, but the Eagles appear to remain determined to make it happen.

More Bradford Talk - Iggles Blitz
I would love for the Eagles to get Mariota. I still struggle to picture Bradford and Kelly standing on a podium holding the Lombardi. I don’t think Mariota is leading anyone to a title in 2015, but it would be exciting to see Kelly get a young, dynamic talent at QB that he could mold the way he wants. Michael Vick had talent, but was a veteran with a lifetime of bad habits already built in. Mariota needs plenty of work, but he’s already been taught a lot of the key principles of KellyBall due to his time in Oregon.

Draft Daily: Is UCF WR Breshad Perriman a Fit? - Birds 24/7
Perriman is the third receiver we've covered in this space. The other two were Arizona State's Jaelen Strong and USC's Nelson Agholor. Of the three, I think Perriman has the biggest upside. He knows how to use his size and is an explosive athlete who can make big plays downfield. Those attributes equate to a high ceiling. Given the depth at wide receiver in this class, the feeling here is if the Eagles stay at No. 20, they might be better off addressing another weakness like defensive back or even offensive line.

Four players who could interest Eagles at No. 20 - Daily News
Iowa's Brandon Scherff is expected to be the first offensive lineman taken in the draft, but probably not until somewhere around 8 or 10. After that, there are six other guys, including Clemmings, who are pretty much lumped together, depending on what you're looking for. Clemmings, out of Pittsburgh, is a former defensive lineman with long arms and explosive upper-body strength who would be a good fit, inside or outside, in the Eagles' blocking scheme. He's not really a left tackle, but could play right tackle or guard.

Striving For A Better No. 1 On Specials - PE.com
It is a commitment that Chip Kelly made as a coach long ago, and we’ve seen the results since he’s been the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles: Special teams matter, and the Eagles will do what it takes to be the best of the best in the NFL.

Terrell Owens: 'Andy Reid best head coach I've ever played for' - CSN Philly
"I don't know in terms of comparison how they are as head coaches, because I've never been under the coaching and tutelage of Chip Kelly, but for myself, Andy Reid is the best head coach I've ever played for," Owens said. He also played under George Seifert, Steve Mariucci, Dennis Erickson, Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips, Dick Jauron, Perry Fewell and Marvin Lewis in his 15 season NFL career.

The top 300 players in the 2015 NFL Draft - SB Nation
This year's draft doesn't feature a singularly elite player, but Southern California's Leonard Williams is close to it. Quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota aren't far behind.

Rights To Ricky Sanchez | Liberty Ballers Lottery Party At Buffalo Wild Wings
Last year, we had this stupid idea to have a big party for the NBA Lottery  and invite everyone. And lots of you showed up. So we’re doing it again, and it’s going to be EVEN BETTER. I don’t know what that means, but you should be there. Before I get to the nitty gritty, here are the details.
