The Eagles won't be signing Mark Ingram this offseason. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the New Orleans Saints re-signed their former first round pick to a four-year deal worth $16 million.

Philadelphia was rumored to be interested in Ingram after news of the LeSean McCoy trade broke. The rumors made sense because the Eagles need a new starting running back. According to Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly, however, the Birds were never interested in Ingram. As a bonus, Mosher also reports the Eagles are not interested in free agent Reggie Bush either.

With Ingram off the market, top free agent running backs left include DeMarco Murray, C.J. Spiller, Ryan Mathews, and Justin Forsett. The Eagles don't necessarily have to sign a full-time starter at running back in free agency, especially because the 2015 NFL Draft class is strong at the position, but they could look to at least address the position in some form. Current Eagles rusher on the roster include veteran Darren Sproles, Chris Polk, Matthew Tucker, and Kenjon Barner.
