According to a report from John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, impending free agent wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is expected to draw serious interest from the Houston Texans.

"Texans making run at WR Randall Cobb and Jeremy Maclin to replace Andre Johnson. Expect them to target Torrey Smith, too."
Maclin isn't officially a free agent until Tuesday, but the Texans are allowed to contact his agent due to the NFL's "legal tampering" period.
The Eagles were reportedly "not significantly far apart" on a new contract with Maclin as of last week, but recent reports indicate the two sides are "not close" on bringing Maclin back to Philadelphia. The Eagles declined to place the franchise tag on Maclin by the deadline last Monday.
As noted by McClain, the Texans need a new wide receiver due to their plans to move on from veteran Andre Johnson. Maclin likely caught Houston's eye with his six-catch, 158-yard, two-touchdown performance against them in Week 9 last season.
There's definitely still time for the Eagles and Maclin to get a deal done by Tuesday. But if it doesn't work out, Maclin will have his fair share of suitors elsewhere.
