Eagles free agency: Signings, cuts, and the free agents that are left unsigned

Recapping the busy Eagles free agency period.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles have hit a lull now that their busy first week of free agency is over. The Eagles made a bunch of significant roster moves last week. Many took fans by surprise. The action was fast and furious and it was hard to keep up sometimes.

The Eagles' roster looks a lot different than it did when the offseason first began. There are plenty of new faces in and old faces out.

Here's a recap of all the moves made by the team.

Signed by Eagles

Free agents from other teams:

RB DeMarco Murray - (5 years, $42M)

CB Byron Maxwell - (6 years, $63M)

RB Ryan Mathews - (3 years, $11.5M)

CB Walter Thurmond III - (1 year, $3.25M)

ILB Brad Jones - (2 years, $2.85M)

Murray and Maxwell were obviously the biggest additions here.

Acquired via trade:

QB Sam Bradford - (Via St. Louis Rams)

ILB Kiko Alonso - (Via Buffalo Bills)

It appears Bradford will be the Eagles opening day starter. Adding Alonso creates a logjam at linebacker with Mychal Kendricks and DeMeco Ryans also expected to return.

Re-signed by Eagles

OLB Brandon Graham - (4 years, $26M)

QB Mark Sanchez - (2 years, $9M)

DE Cedric Thornton - (second round tender)

RB Chris Polk (lowest level tender)

WR Jeff Maehl (exclusive rights free agent) [?]

Keeping Graham was critical after being unable to negotiate a restructure/pay cut with Cole.

Cut by Eagles

TE James Casey

CB Cary Williams - (Signed with Seattle Seahawks)

OLB Trent Cole - (Signed with Indianapolis Colts)

OG Todd Herremans - (Signed with Indianapolis Colts)

Almost all of the players the Eagles cut have landed on their feet.

Relinquished via trade:

QB Nick Foles - (Traded to St. Louis Rams)

RB LeSean McCoy - (Traded to Buffalo Bills)

Chip Kelly didn't hesitate to move on from his starting quarterback and running back.
