The Eagles-Rams trade involving Sam Bradford and Nick Foles is now finally official. Here are the full details, via the team itself.
EAGLES GET: QB Sam Bradford, 2015 5th round pick, conditional 2016 pick
RAMS GET: QB Nick Foles, 2015 4th round pick, 2016 2nd round pick
Note that there are some conditions to these picks. Per Adam Schefter:
"Eagles will surrender 2016 2nd-round pick to Rams in QB trade no matter what. But will get back a conditional 2016 pick from Rams. It will be a 3rd if Bradford does not play at all; and a 4th if he starts less than 50 percent of plays."
...
There's obviously a lot to react to here. That will come later. For now, just the facts.
Bradford will turn 28 in November. He was the first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Bradford is a 58.6% career passer who has thrown 6.3 yards per attempt, 59 touchdowns, and 38 interceptions in 49 games started. He's coming off two ACL injuries suffered in the past two seasons.
Foles turned 26 in January. He showed potential with the Eagles in 2013 but really struggled in 2014 before suffering a season-ending injury.
Unless there's another piece to this trade down the line, which is unclear, it seems like Bradford will enter the 2015 season as Philadelphia's starting quarterback. Crazy.
