Who's ready for a conspiracy?
BGN reader @EaglesJake made an interesting note on Twitter on Thursday morning:
All of the Nick Foles autographs on http://t.co/DwwFMKRXkA are on sale. Do the merch people know something we don't? http://t.co/uPAXsqF7n8

You might be saying, "well they always sell autographs on sale." His are the only ones on sale right now. Look for yourself.

I took Jake's advice and dug a little deeper. It turns out that the Philadelphia Eagles' online store has a total of 341 items on sale. Of those 341 items, 64 are player-specific. Of those 64, 62 feature Nick Foles. Michael Vick and Matt Barkley make up the other two. Further, there are a total of 106 Foles items on the online store. More of those items are on sale (62) than not (44).
Now does this actually mean anything? I don't know. But it wouldn't be the first time the Eagles online store gave a hint about the team's moves. Back in the summer of 2011 the team store accidentally featured a Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie jersey before the Eagles had officially acquired him from the Arizona Cardinals. Brian Solomon of McNabbOrKolb caught the mistake and the Eagles took it down shortly after every noticed.
As of now, it looks like Foles is headed into 2015 as the Eagles starting quarterback. But it's worth nothing his name has been involved in multiple trade rumors this offseason. Then there's been all the buzz about Marcus Mariota. Speaking of, the latest rumor has the Eagles potentially trading up to the No. 1 pick before the 2015 NFL Draft starts.
So what do you think? Total coincidence or a sign of things to come?
...
UPDATE: As Eliot Shorr-Parks points out, all the Foles on-sale merchandise is gone now. Hmm.
Those 60+ Foles items that were for sale earlier on the team's website? They have been taken down. #Eagles http://t.co/0jv4MZEyqd
