Philadelphia Eagles Bill Davis approval poll: February 2015

Do you approve of the job Bill Davis is doing as the defensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles? Vote now.

Today we continue the 2015 February edition of Philadelphia Eagles approval polls with defensive coordinator Bill Davis. Don't forget to vote in the Chip Kelly approval poll from Monday if you missed out on that.

The results of the last Davis poll weren't too optimistic. His 51% approval rating was the lowest it's been since these polls began last year. Eagles fans were obviously upset with the way the team collapsed down the stretch. Some may have wanted him gone, but he's here to stay for another season.

There haven't been too many changes to the Eagles defensive staff since the end of the season. The notable exception is that defensive backs coach John Lovett was moved into scouting while Denver Broncos DB coach Cory Undlin was hired to take his spot. Former assistant special teams coach Matthew Harper was promoted to assistant defensive backs coach after Todd Lyght left for Vanderbilt (but has since recently joined Notre Dame). Changing positions coaches might not hurt, but it's not like these changes alone will help the Eagles secondary. The Birds will need to add talent on the outside.

Here's how the Eagles defense finished in 2014:

Opponent points per play: 0.359 (19th)

Opponent yards per play: 5.4 (T-14th)

Opponent third down conversion percentage: 37.93% (13th)

Takeaways: 28 (T-6th)

DVOA: 10th overall, 20th pass defense, 6th run defense

Weighted DVOA: 10th

PFF: 6th overall, 8th run defense, 5th pass rush, 13th pass coverage

So, do you approve of the job Bill Davis is doing as the Eagles defensive coordinator? Vote now in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
