Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins has officially been named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 13 of the 2015 NFL season. This is the third time in his career he's earned this award. It's the first time he's won it as a member of the Eagles.
Jenkins came up huge in Philadelphia's upset win over the New England Patriots. He intercepted Tom Brady at the goal-line and returned it all the way for a touchdown. This marked the first time in Brady's illustrious career that he threw a pick-six in the red zone. Watch the play again here:

Jenkins is the only one of three Eagles safeties to win a Player of the Week award in the last 30 years. The other two? Brian Dawkins and Kurt Coleman (!).
The Eagles made a great decision to sign Jenkins in free agency last offseason. He's been a key contributor on defense and a great locker room presence.
