The Eagles' defensive line might not be as healthy as expected heading into Philadelphia's Week 13 game against the New England Patriots. Starting defensive end Cedric Thornton is not expected to play on Sunday, according to a report from Derrick Gunn of CSN Philly.
Thornton was ruled questionable on the final injury report after being a limited participant in practice this week. Thornton suffered the injury during the Eagles' loss to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. With Thornton out, look for Taylor Hart to start at defensive end. The Eagles will also likely activate Brandon Bair, who hasn't played since Week 3. Vinny Curry could also be in line for more playing time.
Along with Thornton likely being out, the Eagles added starting nose tackle Bennie Logan to the injury report on Sunday morning. Logan wasn't listed on the injury report all week but he's been listed as questionable with a knee injury. Logan is a good player so losing him wouldn't be ideal for the Eagles. If Logan can't play, backup nose tackle Beau Allen will be thrust into a bigger role.
The Eagles and Patriots will announce their official game day inactives around 2:55 PM ET.
