Eagles Injury Report: Josh Huff, Jaylen Watkins return to practice

Here's a Wednesday update on the team's Week 17 injury situation.

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles released their first official injury report in advance of their Week 17 game against the New York Giants. You probably don't care about this since it's a meaningless game and there are much more important things going on since Chip Kelly was fired, but ... I felt the obligation to do this anyway.

Three players missed practice: starting cornerback Byron Maxwell, starting nose tackle Bennie Logan, and starting Seyi Ajirotutu. It doesn't seem likely that any of them will practice or play this week. But if that's the case, why haven't the Eagles put these players on injured reserve yet to free up some roster spots?

Second-year receiver Josh Huff returned to practice on Wednesday after sitting out on Tuesday. The same goes for cornerback Jaylen Watkins.

Note that interim head coach Pat Shurmur will be in charge as the Eagles play the Giants this week.
